Drawn while talking on the phone with my parents. Dad suggested I watch "Little Fugitive" because wehn I talked about my thesis idea it reminded him of it.

I din't like this drawing but I like the Cigarillo wrapper on the ground. I'm going to try drawing it agian. The song "Nietsche" by The Dandy Warhols was playing when I drew this. I put on a Spotify playlist and I'm not sure how I feel about it. I skipped the Joy Division song that came on next and it's some badn I don't know called Thr!!!ler

The playlist got better! I listened to "Turn it On" by The Flaming Lips and now it's "Human Being" by The Beta Band. Actually NOW it's "Howl at the Summit" from the new Breeders album. I decided to switch to pen because I wanted to take away the option to erase based on something Courtney Barnett said in an interview with Kim Deal. This drawing is better than the last. I blame Joy Division

I changed locations and briefly had a good view of a bird in the pond. The problem with drawing animals is that they move so fast.

A chipmunk, I think, ran through a hole in a log in the pond and popped it's head up through a knot in the top. I reached for an index card and fot the outline of it before it scurried off. I tried drawing the environment around the outline but my drawing makes the cipmunk look way bigger than it really was

A few quick sketches of birds. It's so hard to capture them. How the fuck did Audoon do it? That's probably Googleable. I started taking video of the birds. Maybe I will try drawing from that later.

It's an interesting view, looking straight down at this pipe. I can imagine a dog taking in this view as he gets the lay of the land. The pipes and plants and castle-like architecture remind me of Mario. This drawing isn't very good and I'm going to try agian.

Still not crazy about this drawing but it's better. I took my headphones out several drawings ago. I hear the birds a lot. Also children. I like the idea of the natural playground that's nearbyu but I hate how many kids become through traffic. Also there are lots of bugs and it's starting to get hot. I might pack it in soon.

I took a photo of the real thing to try again later. There is this beautiful little spider web connecting this column and the ivy that grows around it butI"m a little baffled at how I would draw it. A spider's web means a spider lives here but she's not home right now.

I think my last drawing for the morning. I'm standing up against a pillar to see these leaves. They are part of a tall bush that I think might bloom blowers but hasn't yet. It's too high of a vantage point for a small dog to see. It geels good to stand. Sitting on concrete gets old fast.

It's supposed to rain all day today but it sin't yet so I made my way to the vale to get started recording the sounds. There are two ducks in teh water. I've seen other birds here before but these are my first ducks. It's early and the other birds are especially vocal. I'm listening to the world filtered through my recorder and noise cancelling headphones

I started recording video of the ducks on my iPhone. The prettier of the tew ducks keeps readjusting. It would be fun to animate that if I have the time. The vale is particularly pretty this time of day.
